ESSENCE 2 in 1 Eye shadow and Eyeliner REVIEW + SWATCHES!!!!

Hi Beauties! It's been a while since I last reviewed Essence products! As promised, I still have more things to share with you girls, so stay tuned alright! Im thankful for you to keep on reading.
I have another exciting Essence product to share today! It is the Essence 2 in 1 Eye shadow and Eye liner! I have been testing it for a while and have gathered some of my thoughts on them! They are a relatively new item so they are definitely still available in Singapore!

From left to right: 01 Go Bro'nze, 02 Peach perfect, 06 She's got the mauve
They are so pigmented and glides on relatively easily! Hardly any thug on my eyelids and arm.
Essence 2 in 1 eye shadow and Eye liner
Check out the amount of product in there! It's so mind blowing omg! Imagine a pressed shadow, it will not contain as much product as this stick here! To me it is the amount of a jumbo lip crayon I would say

Essence 2 in 1 eye shadow and Eye liner arm swatches

Check this out! In this picture, I have already tried to wash my arm rigorously with lots of Dettol hand soap and had been rubbing at it for quite a while, the shadows just wont budge! I would say, it is 100% waterproof.

To be honest, I have tried to take a new eye swatches for your girls, but it all didn't translate very well in pictures! It would do the product no justice when its in the pictures. My eyelids have some texture and hence I prefer to do hand swatches for this product.

My favourite colour is definitely "02 Peach Perfect"!

During application on the eyes, it did feel quite smooth. However as it dried down, I did feel there is a slight tightness on the lids as it turns completely waterproof. This didn't bother me at all as the feeling was only minimal. No problem with sensitivity issue unlike most other cream products I've tried on the eyes. It didn't crease on me even after 2 hours on the eyelids.

All in all, I really appreciate the improvements in their eye cream products as it did do what it says!

My rating: 4.5/5
Price:SGD $4.90

I hope you found this review useful. Until next time!

PHYTO Hair products Reviews!!!

Hi Beauties!!!! Today I'm back with another exciting review! This time its an expensive product! I spent $229 on these products! I got 3 PHYTO products to mention today namely : Phythocyane Revitalising Serum Ampoule, Phytocyane Densifying treatment Shampoo and Phytopolleine Universal Elixir Scalp Stimulant.
PHYTO Phytopolleine and Phytocyane
Above shown on the left is the Scalp Treatment and on the right is the Anti hairfall shampoo.
The shampoo comes in an Aluminium bottle, 200ml

Revitalising serum ampoule PHYTO
Let me break down my analysis:

Phytopolleine comes in 100ml size. The benefits are
1) All natural ingredients which means that there will not be any product or silicone build up on your scalp
2) Strengthens and Nourishes scalp which will result in Less hair fall
3) Purifies and Rebalances Oily Scalp
4) Soothes Sensitive & Irritated Scalp
5) Promotes Hair Growth
6) Eliminates Dry Scalp & Dandruff
7) Each 100ml bottle is made with 7kg of plants containing pure essential oils
To use this, rub it in each section of your scalp and rub vigorously for oil build up, silicone build up and other chemical residues to come out from scalp. If you look carefully after the rub, you may see some white dots. Advice to leave on for 30mins after that before shampooing. If you wish, you can leave it overnight to sleep, if you don't mind the unsightly white particles on your hair.
Advised to use 2 times a week

Phytocyane Densifying treatment shampoo comes in 200ml size. The benefits are
1) Reviving thinning hair with its unique combination of botanicals, and other good ingredients.
2) Free from chemicals and silicone
3) 100% natural ingredients
4) No withdrawal symptoms when stop using
This shampoo is very thin in nature and looks like a brown thin solution on the hand. Be careful when pouring as you may over pour it and waste! Its a very expensive shampoo. Its regular price is SGD $41++ . I got it yesterday 3 bottles for SGD $ 50! I advice that you look out for discounts when you pass by the "Beauty By Nature" shop when you pass by Ion Orchard.
Notice that the product is being kept in a aluminium can so as to maintain the balance of the product. Active ingredients of this product may react with plastic if kept in plastic container. Aluminium can is also evidence that the product contains no silicone as silicone may clump up inside aluminium bottles.

Phythocyane Revitalising Serum Ampoule
1) Helps in increasing hair growth
2) Balance scalp PH
Each tube contains 7.5ml. As bad as it sounds, you have to USE UP each tube right after you opened it. You cannot keep it overnight and use it the next day because the ingredients inside will oxidize and lose its effects! I advise you share it with your sister or something, if you can't finish it at one go.

I've used all these products once, because I just bought it.
Hope you like my review! Do follow me to keep updated in new posts!

DAISO Puff & Sponge Detergent Review + Demonstration!

Hi Beauties!
This is my first DAISO review! I have more DAISO products to review in future blog posts, so do keep a look out for them! Today I will be review the very much HYPED product: DAISO Puff & Sponge Detergent. I bought my first bottle 2 years back( The one with a slightly different packaging ) and have been OBSESSED with it! After that when I tried to find it again, I could not find them for months! Recently, I saw them at the Changi City Point DAISO, I knew I had to do something drastic. I grabbed 10 bottles of this! Yes! 10!!! Even though I could'nt even finish my first bottle, I fear that I could not find them again.

Daiso Puff Sponge Detergent

I find them very easy to use, much better than regular hand soap or shampoo. Although other soaps can work too, but I find that this works best and faster than all other products that I've used.
See the results below on my brushes:
Before

After
As you can see, they are so clean now! I'm sorry I did not show you a demo with any sponge, because I do not own a beauty blender.

Since these detergents are so fast selling, I saw another one that they had just released to the public, you might consider trying these (I have not bought these yet, because I have 11 of the original ones!)

Now that you've seen this new one, if you've tried, do let me know in the comment section below to let me know what you think of it!

Essence The VELVETS eyeshadow Reviews + Swatches!!!!

Hi Beauties! Welcome back!!! Today I'm going to bring you girls some relatively new product in their collection, they are THE VELVETS eye shadows! I don't know about you, but I know I love the VELVETS as much as their mainline mono eye shadows. All of them are of a similar consistency and quality. These VELVETS eye shadows cost the same as the old version of their mono eye shadows. I bought 2 of them, both at different time. One was last year July, and one was this year March.
THE VELVETS ESSENCE EYE SHADOWS
Left to right:
08 Coral Me Maybe
05 Taupe Secret

ESSENCE THE VELVETS SWATCHES
Left is 08, right is 05
I understand that the swatches are very faint on the arm, I admit that too. However, since I am one who likes a natural easy makeup look, I do not mind this pigmentation. Most important factor is that they must be easy to build up IF I WANT IT TO look more bold. Well, thankfully, I have a few good eye shadow primers that can help me achieve higher pigmentation. Check out my previous review on the 2 in 1 Eye shadow and primer. These eye shadows works well and blends easily. (I will insert an eye look when I use this next time)

Rating: 4/5
Price: SGD $3.50 ( They can be found in Watsons and Guardian stores in Singapore)

Essence 2 in 1 eye shadow and Primer Review + Swatches!

Hi Beauties! I'm here with a relatively new Essence product which I bought just weeks back! (finally something new in my stash hehe). They are the Essence 2 in 1 eyeshadow and Primer! I've swatched them already so I can give you some rough idea of what I think of them. They come in 2 shades, namely: 01 Nude Beige & 02 Nude Rose.

This is in 02 Nude Rose

This is 01 Nude Beige

Left is 01 Nude Beige, right is 02 Nude Rose
Left is 01 Nude Beige, right is 02 Nude Rose-- This is the aftermath of scrubbing with soap and water! They just wouldn't come off!!!

Verdict: They are much better than the other mousse kind of eye primers which I have used so far -- Check out my Catrice Prime and Fine post which will be up soon.
These are firstly, super blendable, secondly, super rich and pigmented and lastly, they are waterproof for sure! I've not tested them on my crease yet. (If i do, I will update this post here).
I have purposely went out to purchase this the moment I found out Essence carries a mousse eyelid primer! I'm quite fed up with the one I'm using-- You'll know why soon-- that I have to try all ways to get a cheaper and yet better mousse primer. I'm glad I've found my answer in this. I also prefer this one over the Essence-I love stage eyeshadow primer. Reason is because I realised that liquid products causes more pimples on me-- Even on my eyelids!!!!

OKAY, I think I've said enough, I'll give it a 5/5 rating!
Price: SGD $ 4.90 (Found at local Watsons and Guardian)

UBUB Eyeshadows Reviews + Swatches!

Hi Beauties!
I'm going to show some versatility around here today. I'm going to review another brand of makeup product called UBUB! I found this brand via Aliexpress about 4 months ago and was so captivated by the eyeshadows, I knew I had to get some of it to try!!!! I bought these in 2 batches, because the first batch was primarily for me to test out the product before I decide if I want to spend more money on them.

Their names are only numbers as shown above

I love these shadows to pieces! They have so minimal fallout and are so easy to work with! No fall out plus exciting shimmers, who could deal with that! I feel I look the bomb with these eye shadows! Can't get enough of it. However, I need to warn you that I'm not sure about the chemicals used in here, whether they are safe of not. Do use these with caution. My eyes did get a bit irritated with some of them, but I can deal with that for the price I paid

Price: USD $ 1.41-1.71 each. The prices vary with the seller's mood! My seller has closed down the account and opened another one. You can just type UBUB eyeshadows in the search bar and you should see some of these.
Rating: 4/5 (Due to some eye irritation)

Essence Soo Glow! Cream to powder highlighter Review + Swatches!

Hi Beauties!
I'm excited to bring to you another face product! Today I'm going to talk about something still in the Essence display (Yay!!! Not old stuff this time). In this post, I will discuss about the Essence Soo Glow! highlighters. They come in 2 different shades namely: Look on the bright side & Bright up your life.

I bought the Bright Up Your Life shade as I thought that pink highlighters would flatter me. Actually, now I realized that yellow/ gold / off white flatters my skin tone more than pinks.

Swatch on my arm
As you can see, there is a slight dent on it because I have used a bit of it. I bought it about 1.5 years ago, but I rotate around with my other highlighters too.
This texture is quite unique. As the name suggests, it turns from cream to powder. Actually this is equivalent to a mousse. As you know, the Soft Touch Mousse foundation also dries to a powdery finish. I find it quite ok to be put on top of a powder. All you have to do is to use it with a light hand, so you won't shift your make up underneath.

I love this product especially because it does not have any powder kick off! I love products that do not do that. It is also quite blendable and glowy looking. I did not attach any picture of me wearing it because my blemishes are too significant in all my pictures, hence not giving the highlighter enough justice. Well, atleast you have a hand swatch lols.

Would I recommend this highlighter? Yes!! You can't beat the price for the quality (As always, with Essence price range)

I am very satisfied with this product for its intensity and price, I'll repurchase again if they restock. At the moment I do not see any at the stands

Price: SGD $ 4.90 (I'm not too sure)
Rating: 4.5/5

Essence Soft Touch Mousse Reviews + Swatches!

Hi Beauties! Today I'm bringing you my first every foundation review! I'm here to review the Essence Soft Touch Mousse! I have the shade 09 Porcelain which is what I like to wear on my skin because it makes me looks fairer than I am. I agree that i should take a darker shade, but the next shade in the range is too dark for me. I'd rather take a lighter shade, that's just me ;)
I bought 2 of the same foundation in the same shade.

Heres a side by side view of how much I've used up my first one... I accidentally dipped once into my 2nd tub because I had thought I bought a different shade and was about to use it too
Below is my before and after look
* Disclaimer : I did not use any filters in all my pictures*

Before apply any Soft Touch Mousse
After apply Soft Touch Mousse

As you can see, there are some difference in my skin tone. After apply the mousse, I think my skin colour looks much more even and less red. Also, it helps to hide my pores if i used the right application tools. Most of all, I love this mousse because I DO NOT have to powder my face! It dries to a powdery finish and I love this aspect of mousse products! The only negative thing is that because I have combination skin type, it does look dry and patchy some times. This can be avoided with proper preparatory work and right application tools. You can also try setting spray after your makeup ( Which I'm too lazy to do ). I also typically do not have time to add any concealer, so this is practically what I wear on my skin daily ( other than blushers, bronzers and highlighters );
Lastly, be cautious while wearing it under the eyes as it does enhance my fine lines. I use some shimmering face powder over those areas to improve the look under my eyes.

I only put one thin layer as I hate caking up my face. With such an application, I would judge this as a solid medium coverage.

Essence Blush Reviews + Swatches!

Hi Beauties!
I'm now going to review the Essence Silky Touch Blushes! I have been using them for about 3 years now and I have a good idea of what to say here. However, because they are so pigmented, I havent really significantly used up any of it. I have been digging at one colour the most because I bought 2 of it! That's why that's the one I want to, and feel assured to use more of. I'm super horrified when Singapore removed this colour from the line, that's why I went to get the 2nd one as soon as i heard this devastating news.

From Left to right:
60 Life's a Cherry
80 Autumn Peach
10 Adorable

Here is what the swatch looks like on the last 3 fingers. After I rubbed it against my arm.
I bought 2 of 60 Life's a Cherry

These blushes are actually very pigmented!

These are what it claims to be, silky touch blush. They last very well on my skin and are super pigmented. This is why I have not hit pan yet! I have used it for the last 3 years and hardly even see a dent.

Nowadays, I think the Satin blushes are a similar replica to the silky touch blushes as the silky touch blushes are slowly phasing out from Singapore. Here's what the newer blushes would look like
Hopefully they are identical to the good old silky touch blushes, or else, I would have to perform another round of hoarding lols.

Essence 3D eye shadow review + Swatches!

Hi Beauties! I've got more eye shadows from Essence which I would like to share with you! I'm now going to swatch and review the Essence 3D eye shadows! Excited huh? I am too. Because I've been wanting to share these swatches since long ago, but finally got around to it. To be honest, nowadays I do wear more neutral shades, and thats why 2 of the shadows which I once loved and wear out a lot, has now relegated to my back drawer due to its boldness in colour. In the following, you will see an extra container containing a purple shade. As you might already tell, I dropped my Irresistible Purr-Ple and broke the shadow. To salvage the purple, I put part of the colour in a small container to prevent the colours from mixing with each other.
This is the purple eyeshadow when I first bought it years back

From left to right:
02 Irresistible Purr-Ple
06 Irresistible Mermaid Kiss
04  Irresistible Caramel Cream

Without Eye shadow primer

Swatched over an eyeshadow primer
Verdict: Honestly, I'm pretty happy with the swatches even without eyeshadow primer. I feel that the colours are pigmented enough for my liking. I prefer to work with moderate level of pigmentation as I prefer to look more natural than caked up. I think these shadows are wonderful even on its own. I used to wear the darker purple with the lighter blue/green together because it does give me the Mermaid makeup appearance.
Below are some swatches on my eyes for each of the combinations in the duos.
02 Irresistible Purr-ple with eye shadow Primer

04 Irresistible Caramel Cream without Eye shadow Primer
06 Irresistible Mermaid Kiss with eye shadow Primer
This is my favourite now

For practical reasons, I only wear 04 Irresistible Caramel Cream frequently. I bought them all 3 years ago. I would advise you to throw them away as soon as you find allergy when using them. I rarely use the purple one already because it does irritate my eyes because I kept it for too long and contaminated it-- would be discarding it soon. I also suspect that these eye shadows have been removed from the displays already.
Price: SGD $ 4.50 (Correct me if  I'm wrong)

Essence Metal Glam eye shadow Review + Swatches!

Hi Beauties! I'm now going to discuss about the Metal Glam Eyeshadows! I think few people have talked about this product and hence I'm going to discuss a bit of it here on my blog. What made me waver as to whether to talk about this is because I only bought one. I bought it when i was on a trip in Paris. I was so foolish then to buy it overseas as I thought it was cheaper there. No, I was wrong! Anyway, I had wanted to buy the shade Frosted Apple, but when I heard a lot of not so good reviews on them, I decided to get one which I happened to see when I was in Paris.

The only I colour I own is: 18 Choco-Chic
With Flash

Without Flash

As ironical as it seems, I find it too dark for my liking. Its very dark for an all over the lid shade for my personal taste. Hence I hardly wear this shade even though it has been in my stash for 2 years now lols. It also had a very shimmery over stray that motivated me to buy. Luckily, I'm not very disappointed in the colour. Please also do note that this is removed from the existing display already. I'm still writing this review in case anyone might find this helpful.

Essence mono eyeshadow review + Swatches!

Hi Beauties!  Welcome back to my blog! I still have so many Essence products to review for you guys, please bear with me haha. In this blog post, I will be reviewing and swatching some exciting eyeshadows from Essence! Previously, I reviewed and swatched the Essence Eyeshadow palettes . Today I will show you my favourite essence eyeshadows I have! I really prefer the mono eyeshadows because I can avoid colours I hate (Although i did buy 1 colour which I dislike after using it)-- Generally, you have more options to play with and save you money from buying colours that you won't use.

Some background on my collection-- I collected these eyeshadows over 5 years, the first one being bought in 2012, and the last one was Mar this year (Which is The Velvets eyeshadows, will review them in another blog post! Stay tuned! Also to review the single eyeshadow in the Metal Glam collection). My first one in the collection is - 35 Party all Night.
See my swatches below:
These are the general mono eye shadows collection (excluding Velvets and Metals)
From Left to right:
77 Sandy Says Hello
55 Shrimp Me Up
35 Party All Night
65 Skeye And Sand
68 Strawberry Ice Cream
74 Peach Beach (I have 2x of this)
81 I'm Royalty
19 The Grammy Goes Glammy
18 All I Need

My favourite of the bunch is 77 Sandy Says Hello. My first purchase out of the lot is 35 Party All Night (I've Hit Pan)
No 19 and 18
These 2 are the newest version of their mono eye shadow. The others are the old design.

Verdict: I love love these eyeshadows! I prefer these over the palettes are they are more versatile and I personally have a preference for mono eye shadows because most of the time I feel stressed over colours which I do not use inside palettes. The swatches are quite pigmented and not too chalky. Overall, they are easy to work with and very affordable!

Ratings: 4.5/5
Price: SGD $3.50 each, the 2 newer ones are $2.90 each ( Sold at local Watsons and Guardian )

I hope you find my reviews helpful and perhaps give them a go!
